Falconers spend many thousands of hours (and many thousands of dollars!) training their birds, ensuring their birds are in excellent health, supplying specific nutrition, safe and healthy housing and opportunities for exercise and hunting.
In the province of British Columbia falconry requires a special permit from the provincial government. Falconers hunting with their birds also require provincial and federal hunting licenses.
Falconry is a regulated art and requires time and dedication. Falconry birds are not pets and require very specific handling and training.
